Android 4.3 Jelly Bean ReviewPosted By: Jass To Technology

Google never ceases to amaze us with whatever technical stuff it does. Every year it wraps off different versions of operating system with minor changes in the previous ones. It turned the tech world upside down with the introduction of Android 4.1 Jelly bean operating system. Now after a year, Google has released another version of android operating system viz. 4.3 jelly bean. Sure, the release is not another radical overhaul to the tech world, but the minor changes are enough to attract an android lover like me.

So alongside the new Nexus 7 and Chromecast TV dongle, android 4.3 jelly bean too is grabbing the interest of android lovers. Updated camera, gesture keyboard, updated Bluetooth, restricted profiles and many other things are tweaked to improve your everyday Android experience. Here are some major updates in Android 4.3 jelly bean.

Multiple Account Support With Restricted Profiles

Multiple account support was there in 4.2 as well. It added a provision to create multiple users for a tab, much like our PC’s windows. 4.3 allows us to create restricted profiles with limited usage. So whatever apps you download in your tablet using your restricted account, it will remain private to you. It is also known as kids-proof system, as you can prevent a child’s account for making in –app purchases or any purchases for that matter.

The Smarter Bluetooth

Android 4.3 has many features, which were missing from the Bluetooth in previous versions. This Bluetooth has the ability to connect with next generation power efficient Bluetooth accessories like smart watches. It is less power demanding, and adds Bluetooth AVRCP 1.3 support, which means devices having android 4.3 can send metadata to Bluetooth controllers.

Smarter Notifications

Android 4.3 has more ways to deal with an appointment or a missed call or any other notification for that matter. The number of responses you can make while receiving a notification has been improved in this version of android. Like when any calendar notification for an appointment turns up, you can choose to see the location on Google map directly from notification bar.

Gesture Keyboard and Dialpad

The gesture keyboard lets us swipe from one letter to another without taking our finger off. The keyboard will predict words and add spaces automatically. So if you are one of those speedy typists, it will surely appeal to you.

Wi-Fi Location Detectors

The location apps and software for location tracking on my smartphone had a drastic impact on battery life, unless I was introduced to Android 4.3 jelly bean. Android 4. 3 devices can perform location scanning for apps to keep them updated even when Wi-Fi is turned off.

So down the line, Jelly bean 4.3 adds some terrific features to your smartphone. It's faster, it works smarter and gives us a glimpse into the potential of Android devices in the future. It also leaves us in the excitement of the grand release of Android 5.0 Lime Pie.
